Plans for Fencing and Etc.

We are at the VRBO in Angel Fire, New Mexico right now. It's nearly 10 p.m. which feels like 11 p.m. for me since I'm from Texas. Anyways here's the plans for fencing and etc. for the horse.

We plan to start building fencing within the next few weeks, after we start it’ll take somewhere around 1-2 weeks to finish. While the building is going on, my parents and I will look into buying/building a shelter for the horse; we are thinking a three side closed, one side open shelter with a roof, we will most likely keep a food and water trough attached to one of the walls inside.

Since this is our first horse, we don’t have an excessive amount of items for it, and since I won’t be doing shows in the near future with the horse, we don’t have a lot of tack. So we are planning on buying a shed large enough to store: a saddle, saddle pad, bridle, halters, lead ropes, grooming supplies, medicine, food and a few other things.

We are fencing in about an acre, the pasture will run along our drive way, I will try to get pictures to post after we get back from our trip. The horse will spend all of the time that it is not being ridden in the pasture, we have our reasons and the horse has all of the necessary nutrition and requirements.

The fencing will look something like this; chicken or hog wire so that nothing can get in the pasture (we have a lot of destructive hogs on our property) with wooden railings and posts :)

I think that’s about it for this post!
